This two day hybrid event will be held over Zoom and in person at NEIU’s El Centro Campus.

Important things to know about the in-person component of our event:

— ChicagoCHEC wants to ensure that our in-person environment is safe and enjoyable for all attendees. Masks are required if you attend in person. In addition, the in-person component is subject to change based on safety recommendations related to COVID-19. Therefore, if it is determined unsafe for us to host the in-person component, our event will switch to 100% virtual.

— To ensure proper social distancing, there are limited seats for in-person attendance, thus availability is first come, first serve. Please indicate when you register if you plan to attend in person and a member of our team will reach out to you with more details.

— Please note, that the in-person component will be a watch party of the program which will be held over Zoom.

All are welcome to join this FREE, public event!

Every year hundreds of Northwestern students come to SummerFest to start planning their summer break! Dozens of offices and programs from around campus will be there to talk about internships, grants, fellowships, academic research opportunities, study abroad programs, summer work, classes, language study and more. Throughout the afternoon, there will be presentations on everything from how to prepare for a job interview to how to find funding for your summer, and we’ll have plenty of cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, and hoagies for lunch. Whether you’re planning to stay in Chicago or want to spend the summer somewhere else in the U.S. or abroad, you’ll find what you need at SummerFest!

Remember to bring along a copy of your resume so that staff from Northwestern Career Advancement can help you polish it for whatever you want to do this summer.
