This two day hybrid event will be held over Zoom and in person at NEIU’s El Centro Campus.

Important things to know about the in-person component of our event:

— ChicagoCHEC wants to ensure that our in-person environment is safe and enjoyable for all attendees. Masks are required if you attend in person. In addition, the in-person component is subject to change based on safety recommendations related to COVID-19. Therefore, if it is determined unsafe for us to host the in-person component, our event will switch to 100% virtual.

— To ensure proper social distancing, there are limited seats for in-person attendance, thus availability is first come, first serve. Please indicate when you register if you plan to attend in person and a member of our team will reach out to you with more details.

— Please note, that the in-person component will be a watch party of the program which will be held over Zoom.

The 12th Annual Lewis Landsberg Research Day will take place on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Northwestern University’s McGaw Pavilion and Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Feinberg Pavilion, Third Floor Conference Center.

Abstract Submission Deadline is 5PM March 1, 2016.

Research Day offers students and researchers a public forum for presenting their findings and an opportunity to receive valuable feedback from their colleagues. It also allows them to see how their research compares to that of their peers in a competitive arena.

Each year, awards are given for projects that demonstrate outstanding and innovative research in basic science, clinical research, public health and social sciences research, and women’s research that have the potential for contributing to the advancement of medical science and health care. Awards are as follows:

  • First prize: $500
