Beverly Gonzalez

Dr. Gonzalez is a Mathematical Statistician and Biostatistician with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Center of Innovation for Complex Chronic Healthcare (CINCCH) at the Hines VA Hospital and also holds an Adjunct Professor Appointment with the Mathematics Department at Northeastern Illinois University and an Assistant Professor Adjunct appointment with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University. Dr. Gonzalez is also the Co-Leader of the Statistics Core for ChicagoCHEC and Co-Leader for the Planning and Evaluation Core for ChicagoCHEC at Northeastern Illinois University. She is an experienced Biostatistician with over 10 years of successfully working with investigators as a biostatistical collaborator on grants.  In the past, she has served as a Biostatistician at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health working on prostate cancer-related projects primarily assessing the effects of telomere length and prostate cancer.  In other roles, she has also served as a Biostatistician and Data Manager for the Women’s Interagency HIV longitudinal study also led by the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. In her most recent collaborations, she has conducted research in the following areas: Cancer, SCI related studies, Affordable Care Act utilization and cost studies, Diabetes studies, Infectious Disease studies, and studies involving clinical trials exploring use of applications developed within the VA.

Alfred Rademaker

Alfred W. Rademaker, Ph.D., is Professor, Department of Preventive Medicine, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Director, Division of Biostatistics in that department and Director, Biostatistics Core Facility of The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University (Ph.D. – Statistics), Dr. Rademaker is a member of The American Statistical Association, The Biometric Society, Society of Clinical Trials, and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He currently serves as Co-Chair of Lurie Cancer Center’s Scientific Review Committee. He has served on data and safety monitoring committees in breast cancer and ophthalmology. He is a co-investigator on several NCI and other NIH grants. He is the biostatistician for the Northwestern Alzheimer’s Disease Center. His research interests are early phase cancer clinical trial design, sample size determination, statistical methods for diagnostic testing and cluster randomized clinical trials.

Beth Hahn

Elizabeth Hahn is a medical sociologist whose research involves patient-reported outcomes in chronic illness and the design and use of health information technology, with a focus on underserved populations and health disparities. She has expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, and teaches a graduate course on survey design and methodology. She is also Director of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Outcomes Measurement and Survey Core.
